| Purple Pelican has run in the
Harbour for just over 5 years. Initially part of another business (www.yellowpenguin.co.uk)
in late 2006 it was bought by Powerboat Training UK Ltd ('PTUK').
PTUK is an Royal Yachting Association Training Centre and trains
people to drive all sizes of powerboats from boats such as the
Logics you hire from us to the largest Sunseekers that you see in
the Harbour. PTUK is run by Paul & Viv Glatzel and is very much a
family business. The school has two classrooms in Poole and a base
in Lymington. We train powerboat courses, motorboat courses,
shorebased courses and jetski courses. We have two RIBs, a motor
cruiser and a jetski for use on courses.
We hope that the people that train with us who don't have boats
find the Logics we have a great way to get some experience, we hope
too that those that really enjoy driving the boats but haven't
boated before really enjoy their experience and perhaps think about
getting some training and perhaps even buying a boat - check out the
